Candidates with prior experience will usually get a higher salary, if hired by banks.
The key factor though is the quality & field of your experience. If your experience is in BFSI, you will obviously carry some advantage. Other than BFSI, experience in sales or customer service roles will also be useful. Ultimately the bank should feel that it can benefit from your experience & therefore it can afford to pay you extra.
