Who We Are
We are the country’s first of its kind online academy, using digital technology to bridge the skill gap in the banking and the financial services sector. Our initial courses are structured for the benefit of college freshers looking for a career in the fast growing retail banking industry, employees from other sectors wanting a change in career, colleges seeking to improve their placement record by providing specially curated courses for their final year students and even banks seeking to upskill their existing employees.
Our courses are conceived and structured by industry stalwarts, keeping in mind the evolving job roles in these industries. The content will be focused on the specific skills needed for the real daily grind that the jobs will involve, to help the candidates to be sure of what it takes to survive, thrive and enjoy their career.

Jay is an engineer by qualification (M.Tech, College of Engineering, Trivandrum), a banker by profession and now a social entrepreneur by passion. He has over 22 years of corporate experience, starting as a Probationary Officer with South Indian Bank and ending with 18 years at HDFC Bank. He left HDFC Bank as a Senior Vice President and started his dream venture Oorjja (www.oorjja.org) in October 2017, with the goal of creating a professional ecosystem for empowering differently-abled communities. Armed with his professional expertise in Team and Project Management, he along with a group of 40 professionals, runs this self-sustaining concept.
He has delivered a TEDx talk in October 2018 elaborating on the ecosystem for differently-abled community empowerment (https://youtu.be/6X981pGXCbo). Oorjja runs 3 skilling centres for the hearing impaired community. He has incubated Takshan Kriya, a unit that employs differently-abled individuals (creates custom-designed wood products) and has funded and is mentoring a software product startup called Sieve (founded by a hearing-impaired person)

After working for a total of 26 years with 2 of the best known banks in the country, Srikumar gave up his corporate career recently to do something more satisfying in an area that he has been passionate about for many years. He believes that the skill shortage in the booming services industry, other than the IT sector, is largely under-appreciated and unless this issue gets due attention, this has the potential to turn our country’s demographic dividend into a nightmare.
He started his career as a Probationary Officer with State Bank and then spent the last 18 years contributing to the growth story of HDFC Bank. Over the last few years, he has headed zones based at Bangalore and Kochi with over a hundred bank branches and close to a thousand team members. After post-graduating in Physics, he also did his PGDGM with NMIMS & MDP at IIM, Ahmedabad.

Vinod started his career with a short tenure as a lecturer in mathematics post completing his post-graduation. Now after 28 years of corporate experience, he is returning back to his first love of teaching and guiding youngsters.
Enamoured by the emerging world of information technology, he got himself certified(PGDCA) in that field and worked in various companies before moving to HDFC Bank, where he started handling business roles. He quit as a Vice President after spending 18 years in the bank and then joined GEOFIN Comtrade Ltd as the Managing Director & CEO ( with more than a hundred branches across the country) and then as Country Head in commodity & currency derivatives, debt products & loan distribution at Geojit Financial Services Ltd ( with more than five hundred branches across the country) before finally deciding to leave his corporate career.He has also done the post-graduate programme in Business Management (EPBM) from IIM Calcutta
