Candidates with prior experience will usually get a higher salary, if hired by banks.
The key factor though is the quality & relevance of your experience. If your experience is in BFSI, you will obviously carry some advantage. Other than BFSI, experience in sales or customer service roles will also be useful. If the bank feels that it can benefit from your experience, it will definitely pay you well. Typically, banks offer between 10%-30% higher for experienced candidates.
And once you gain experience within the bank and if your performance is good, sky is the limit for your salary!
