What is the job description of a Personal Banker?

A Personal Banker’s job description typically includes:

  • Handling sales and customer service for walk-in customers.
  • Handling a portfolio of customers for their banking & financial services needs (relationship management).
  • Managing local marketing efforts for generating new leads.
  • Follow up leads and ensure conversions of maximum leads, including through co-ordination with other departments of the bank.
  • Customer engagements through visits and tele-calling, plus contacts through emails & other social media tools like LinkedIn.
  • Branch-level operations support.
  • Maintaining compliance and documentation.
