What is a Personal Banker in a bank?

A Personal Banker is a customer-facing role in private sector banks where the bank officer helps individuals and other retail customers (like small businesses, trusts, societies etc.) with their day-to-day banking needs. They handle savings and current accounts, guide customers on deposits, loans, investments, insurance, and provide personalised financial advice. The goal is to improve customer satisfaction while meeting bank targets.
