This course will prepare you for entry-level, branch-officer's job in modern retail banks. The job will be based out of branches and involve new customer acquisition, cross-sell and upsell of financial products along with some customer servicing and operational work.
Salary levels will differ from bank to bank. It will generally be in the range of ₹ 25,000 to ₹ 35,000 per month, depending on your educational background, experience and skill levels. In many banks, the role may also carry additional sales incentives.
An early-stage Retail Banker moves up generally into a Relationship Manager role and then into a supervisory or team-handling role, over time.
This course covers the business skills needed to perform the role of a retail banker. The content focuses primarily on the key skills needed to sell better. Product & process level details will vary between banks and you will be trained in them as part of your induction training. The selling or business skills that you learn during this course, will be the key to do your job better than your peers.
This course can be accessed online 24*7, including on mobile apps, giving you the flexibility to learn at your free time. The course is primarily delivered through studio-recorded and professionally-edited videos. One-on-one interaction with the instructor for minimum 30 mins. per week on the phone is a key differentiator of this course. This helps the candidate to clarify doubts and improve understanding. Mentoring will continue on phone, for at least 2 months after taking up a new job in a bank, to help the candidate settle down in the new job.

This is a self-study course and must be finished within a maximum duration of 8 weeks. Usually this would take between 4 to 6 weeks with approximately an hour of work per day.

Graduation in any stream is the minimum qualification required. Fresh graduates and post-graduates will need minimum 60% marks across 10th, 12th and college; Freshers should also not have any gap year in their studies, except for rare, justifiable reasons.
Not mandatory, but experience in retail sales will help. Sales professionals from banking, other financial services or any other industries will have a natural advantage. Selling is a great skill to have in your banking career!
